Korean singer and actress Goo Hara has finally regained consciousness after reports of being unconscious in hospital after her suicide attempt, Sportive News reported on May 28.

Goo Hara also apologized through a representative, “I apologize to everyone for causing them to be worried. I will do my best to be healthy from now on.”

“So many things were happening in my life, all at the same time. I am truly sorry. I will show a brighter and healthier side of myself,” she talked about her "extreme choice" and made a promise.

The former KARA member has not mentioned the exact reasons for her suicide attempt, which seems unlikely to happen. However, Korean media reported that it has to do with her previous scandal involving her ex-boyfriend Choi JongBum, who allegedly threatened to spread their sex tape on the internet.

Business Times earlier reported that Goo Hara Attempted to commit suicide at her home in the early morning on May 26 (KST, same as below), fortunately, she has been rescued.

Goo Hara's manager rushed to Hara's house after failed attempts to get in touch with her and found her unconscious in a room filled with smoke. Then, the manager called the 119 Rescue Center. Hara was taken to hospital without life-threatening injuries.

A police officer in Gangnam also said that police were dispatched to Hara's home in Cheongdam-dong in Seoul on at 0:40 a.m. on May 26.

Police confirmed that smoke was found inside the house at the time of the rescue. Now, Hara has been taken out of the situation sustaining no life-threatening injuries in hospital.

Per Yonhap News, Hara remains unconscious as of 11:30 a.m., but her breathing and pulse are normal.
