Many fans were pleased when it was confirmed that Thor 4 is happening. The American superhero film series based on the Marvel Comics character of the same title caught the hearts of many due to its remarkably hilarious reinvention. Even though the fourth installment is confirmed already, details about it remain limited until now, which pushed fans to create theories and predictions on what is likely to transpire in the future.

Thor: Ragnarok star Tessa Thompson, who portrayed as Valkyrie, revealed that Thor 4 is in the works already. The 35-year-old American actress-singer even stated that director Taika Waititi might make a comeback in the imminent fourth movie.

"I heard that a pitch has happened for [another Thor film]. I don't know how real that intel is, but I hear that the pitch has happened," Tessa divulged to Los Angeles Times about the upcoming Thor 4 movie. "I think the idea is Taika would come back," she added.

A tipster supported Tessa's previous claims and revealed that the people behind the first three films are already discussing Thor 4. The Marvel Scoopster added that the solo adventures of Chris Hemsworth's Avenger character are far from over even after fans saw him with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Endgame movie.

Predictions have it that Thor 4 is very much likely to focus on the story on the titular hero since that how Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 movie is expected to treat its main characters. It was, also, claimed that avid fanatics of the Marvel Cinematic Universe might not be able to see the character of Chris Hemsworth sometime in the early scenes of the threequel.

Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth, recently, expressed his desire to hold the legendary hammer again. "I'd still love to do more, to be honest," the 35-year-old Australian actor told Variety in an interview, hinting that the reports about Thor 4 are true. "And I don't know what the plan is. I feel like we've opened up such a different character. I feel more energized for the possibility of where it could go," the husband of Elsa Pataky added.

In the same interview, Chris revealed how he felt "trapped" while working on the early installments. The Endgame actor said he felt that the creators did not know where to take the character and that he "felt like he was a typecast" at the time. The Aussie star stated he is thankful that director Taika Waititi led the franchise in another direction for its third installment, which is the Thor: Ragnarok movie.

Aside from Chris, Taika, and Tessa, other casts who may appear in Thor 4 may include Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Zachary Levi as Fandral. Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Victoria Alonso, and Thomas M. Hammel are expected to return as its producers while Eric Pearson, Stephany Folsom, Craig Kyle, and Christopher Yost might work together again for its script.

No official release date for the upcoming fourth installment has been released as of yet. However, if we based on the premiere dates of Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok, there is a possibility that the new movie might drop sometime in the month of October -- obviously, not this year. However, this prediction should be taken lightly until everything is proven true and correct. Stay tuned to Business Times for the latest news and updates about Thor 4!
