Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are separating from The Royal Foundation. Reports confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are going to reveal the split in a board meeting this week.
The Royal Foundation was established by Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry in 2011. Meghan joined the organization after marrying Harry and begun with her public duties with the charity in 2018. Because of their work in the foundation, the media dubbed these royal couples as the Fab Four.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the split will entail two separate foundations each headed by the royal couples instead of sharing one charity organization. Apparently, this is a necessary process for the heir to the throne, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, as they "reign change" in the British monarchy.
The Royal Foundation will begin talks of dividing the finances at the upcoming board meeting to start the separation. Suitable arrangements between the Sussex house, with Prince Harry and Meghan, and the Cambridge house, with Prince William and Kate, will also be made.
However, talks of the split have sparked rumors that there is a rift between these royal couples. A source told Page Six that the staff at the foundation had been massively stressed over this impending separation, suggesting that problems could be brewing between the Fab Four.
But a spokesperson for the foundation clarified the rumors in an official statement.
"We announced earlier this year that The Royal Foundation was reviewing its structures in order to best support Their Royal Highnesses in their future roles and their new households," the spokesperson told the media. "Any announcement regarding the outcome of this review will be made in due course."
Meanwhile, Meghan is still enjoying her maternity leave after giving birth to her first-born child with Prince Harry last May 6. Despite being out of the limelight for the meantime, the Duchess has not actually abandoned her media exposure.
Reports from UsWeekly revealed that Meghan would be guest editing the September issue of British Vogue. Speculations are that this release will also feature exclusive photographs from inside their home in Frogmore Cottage, as well as some photos with baby Archie Harrison.
This magazine release is going to be a real scoop because no one has seen what the Sussex home looks like from the inside. No one has also scored exclusive photos of the new royal baby except from his first public outing two days after his birth.
The said Vogue release will also include female VIPs who will write their personal stories of change. Meghan has apparently been calling the shots so that everything aligns with what she stands for. The magazine is expected to hit newsstands by early August.
