SBS is reporting about a famous celebrity who habitually injects propofol.

According to a report by SBS '8 News' on June 21, they received a tip from a plastic surgeon 'Kim' who works at a southern Seoul Cosmetic Surgery Clinic 'P' who's interview they also shared that day.

Kim said, "We see about 5-6 people a day for propofol injections. Some are active celebrities, grandchildren of conglomerates and some are ordinary people. There's a famous celebrity 'A' who claims she can't sleep well so she frequently comes for injections. It's a procedure that doesn't require any anesthesia, but she kept receiving it in small amounts. I remember at the end the amount administered turned out to be huge."

'8 News' visited the cosmetic surgery clinic 'P' in southern Seoul and was able to confirm the photo of alleged celebrity 'A' mentioned by Kim in a photo hung as an advertisement at the clinic. When they asked if 'A' was a repeat customer, an employee responded, "A was here today but has already left." 'A' herself was also contacted, and in a phone call, she explained, "It's true I received anesthesia at the hospital I go to, but I never requested that they put me under or that they give me more than the legal limit."

Kim added, "The charts are there but no evidence is kept. It has to be that way so that the anesthesia injections can be administered."

The '8 News' team reached out to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to confirm that P Cosmetic Surgery clinic only used propofol for legal reasons. Propofol was designated as a drug in 2011 and those who purchase it have to report the purpose and amounts in an integrated drug management system.

Due to reports that 'P' used propofol illegally, the FDA has asked the police to conduct an investigation.
