We all know that Kate Middleton is the wife of Prince William, and the mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The public is also very much aware that she was given the title the Duchess of Cambridge after marrying Princess Diana’s first born back in 2011.

While these facts are probably the most basic and important that we all should know about Kate Middleton, many are interested to know more about the Duchess of Cambridge. Here are 15 facts that you may not know about Prince William’s wife.

  1. 1. Kate Middleton is quite tall. She stands at 5’9 or about 175 cm. tall. The mother-of-three wears a 39 European shoe size or 8.5 in American size.
  2. Her father used to work for British Airways, so Kate lived in Amman, Jordan, during her younger years.
  3. Kate was a very active student. She excels in sports and her favorite ones to play are tennis, hockey, and netball. Aside from being an athlete, the Duchess of Cambridge also did great in her drama and music classes.
  4. She and her younger sister Pippa studied in Marlborough College, which is a co-ed private school in Wiltshire, UK, during their teenage years.
  5. Kate Middleton is six months older than Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge was born in January 1982, while the Duke of Cambridge was born in June.
  6. She worked for Jigsaw and Jigsaw Junior, which is a British clothing retailer, as an accessories buyer after college.
  7. Kate and Prince William broke up for three months in 2007 and eventually got back together.
  8. She had a secret blue ribbon sewed in her wedding dress.
  9. Although she is famously known as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has two other titles: Countess of Strathearn and Lady Carrickfergus.
