Korean Actor Park Bo Gum,26, and Song Joong Ki, 33, and actress Song Hye Kyo, 37, have responded to the "Song-Song" divorce rumors which speculate that Park is involved in the stunning divorce.
Park Bo Gum's agency Blossom Entertainment issued a warning of legal action against the widely spread malicious rumors that said Song Hye Kyo cheated on Song Joong Ki with Park Bo Gum during the drama 'Encounter', which was recorded from November 2018 to January 2019.
A representative from the agency said on June 27, "While it was Song Joong Ki who announced his divorce from Song Hye Kyo this morning, Park Bo Gum, a junior from the same agency as Song Joong Ki and also acted in a previous work with Song Hye Kyo is being mentioned in unexpected rumor mills. Even just mentioning Park Bo Gum’s name in the divorce of the two is offensive. "
"In response, we will take firm legal action against the groundless rumors about Park Bo Gum. We will straighten out these rumors via legal action," the representative added.
Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo also released their statements regarding the rumors denying all of the rumors and threatening to take strict legal action. Song Joong Ki and Park Bo Gum are reportedly close friends under the same agency.
Song Joong Ki's agency Blossom Entertainment said, "We will take legal action against all of the gossip, speculations, and reports that spread false rumors."
Song Hye Kyo's agency UAA Korea claimed that those rumors are all groundless gossip, "All of the gossips that have been circulated so far are groundless rumors. These stories that aren’t true are being bloated up and spreading quickly. It’s very unfortunate."
"We sincerely ask everyone to stop spreading exaggerated news and speculated gossip." UAA Korea added.
Previously, Song Hye Kyo's agency explained the reason for the couple's split, "The reason was because of their differences in personality. The two were unable to overcome their differences, which led to this decision."
"Rather than criticizing one another and arguing over who is to blame, both of us hope that the divorce process can be wrapped up smoothly," Song Joong-ki suddenly announced their ending marriage in a statement.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo got married on October 31, 2017, shortly after the two played lovers in the hit TV series "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016.
