The golden couple Song Joongki, 34 and Song Hye Kyo, 37, officially finalized their divorce without alimony or division of assets at a Seoul court on Monday.
The "Song-Song" couple settled their divorce arbitration privately on June 22 at 10:00 am KST. The closed-door meeting was held by Seoul Family Court judge Jang Jin Young.
As a result of the meeting, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo reached a mutual agreement to go their separate ways.
An official from Seoul Family Court said, "We can't disclose details of the arbitration."
Song Hye Kyo's agency UAA released a statement shortly after the divorce proceedings and stated, "Hello, this is UAA. Actress Song Hye Kyo has finalized her divorce with both sides agreeing to divorce without alimony or division of assets."
Song Joongki's side has yet to make a formal statement as of press time.
On the same day, Song Hye Kyo deleted the pictures that contained the two of them together on her Instagram account, including their wedding photo.
Both of them have returned to activities, with Song Joong Ki filming his new movie and Song Hye Kyo promoting her endorsements in China.
Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo made a shocking wedding announcement in July 2017. Joong Ki and Hye Kyo exchanged their wedding vows on Oct. 31, 2017, in a private ceremony in Shilla Hotel in Seoul City. However, on July 26, 2019, Song Joong Ki, through his lawyer, revealed his decision to file for a divorce from Song Hye Kyo.
