BIGBANG has been in the entertainment world for over a decade and G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and former member Seungri worked hard t achieve what they have right now. Despite their passion for music, the boys eventually expanded their brand outside the industry.
T.O.P tried out acting and became good at it. G-Dragon pursued his love for fashion and created a brand of his own. Seungri, on the other hand, didn’t take things slow and created business after business.
While the other BIGBANG boys supported Seungri with his business endeavors, they did share their concerns regarding their maknae’s incredibly busy schedule outside the group. As early as 2016, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung were already hinting about how worried they are about Seungri during their interview on “Radio Star.”
“Seungri did not have meals with us,” Daesung revealed. “Even when the whole group had a meal together, he didn’t come,” Taeyang continued.
G-Dragon then reiterated that Seungri doesn’t spend time having meals with them anymore because he’s always busy. “He’s a singer and also a businessman. Normally, we’re so tired and sweated a lot after each concert. Therefore, we’ll find a place to have a meal together, but Seungri always had other appointments,” the BIGBANG leader shared.
T.O.P then reminded Seungri how things started for them, which is their love for music. “Seungri, we aren’t like that in the old days,” the oldest member of BIGBANG said. “Why do you often talk about money? We met each other thanks to our passion for music; we should talk about the future.”
T.O.P revealed that he met Seungri’s friends and he’s not very pleased with them. He said that he felt those people surrounding Seungri were not interested in him as a person, but only because of his business.
As T.O.P was sharing this, G-Dragon looked sad. Being the leader of the group, he probably felt responsible for his members’ well-being. But he knows that Seungri is a grown man and he has no right to tell him what to do and what not to do.
Please keep in mind that this interview was done in 2016, three years before Seungri was charged with multiple crimes. But this old interview becomes more meaningful now that we know that the older boys have been worried for him for quite a while.
