Louis Litt (played by Rick Hoffman) has reached a breaking point in Suits season 9. After being stripped off his title as Managing Director of Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, he tells Harvey (played by Gabriel Macht) that he won't sit for this and plans to leave the firm.

It all started when Faye Richardson (played by Denise Crosby), the formidable representative of the New York Bar Association, tried to make some changes to the firm in compliance with the law. Seen as the enemy, Richardson has been creating a lot of tension in Suits season 9, which isn't good for Louis sanity most especially.

She has not only demoted Louis but also humiliated him in front of his subordinates. The association representative has also been clashing with Harvey, but it is Louis who has got a lot to lose.

In the preview for Suits season 9 episode 3, Harvey and Donna (played by Sarah Rafferty) discuss their current troubles. Beyond what's happening to Louis, however, Donna sees another problem with the continued presence of Faye in the firm.

With their romance in the early stages, Harvey and Donna are still enjoying their time and savoring all the sweet things in their relationship. But this problem with Faye is not just affecting their professional life but also their personal life.

"It's coming between us, and I am going to put a stop to it," Donna declared. It's unclear what she has up her sleeve but could it be tied to the arrival of Mike Ross (played by Patrick Adams) in an upcoming episode of Suits season 9?

USA Network confirmed that Adams has agreed to return for at least one episode of Suits season 9 as his former character, per Variety. The actor left the series after the seventh season, but his return will have him work together with his former boss and mentor.

According to Suits showrunner Aaron Korsh, they couldn't end the show without having Mike back.

There was never a question in my mind that I wanted him back for this season," the executive producer said, per Deadline."He is the foundation of the show; it was built on him, others also but the very foundation we built on Patrick and Mike, and we all wanted to have him back."

Suits season 9 airs every Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. on USA Network.
