Meghan Markle is opting to celebrate her 38th birthday solemnly with loved-ones Prince Harry and Archie Harrison. The Duchess of Sussex is opting to keep it low-key when she quietly enjoys her birthday on Sunday, Aug. 4.
Royal correspondent Omid Scobie revealed in a newsletter from journalist Katie Couric that the duchess won't have a grand celebration. Instead, she will take this time to rest and relax with Prince Harry, who should be back from his trip to Sicily.
"The Sussexes have been so busy this year that I can imagine her birthday will simply involve a well-deserved day of rest with a few friends-and, of course, precious moments with Archie," Scobie said.
Last year, the duchess turned 37 while attending a wedding event of one of Prince Harry's childhood friends. She and the Duke of Sussex were photographed holding hands at the wedding party with matching navy blue and white outfits, per Elle.
Meanwhile, a royal biographer has revealed that Duchess Meghan may be struggling with the royal life. Angela Levin told FOX News that despite how she appears to be doing brilliantly in public, she still may be challenged with the restrictions of her status.
"It might be good for her if she took a little bit more advice," Levin said. "Before in her life, she was very used to making her own decisions. I do think it's very difficult for her. This is a very strict, traditional path. It takes a while to get used to it," the expert added.
Levin wrote the book "Harry: A Biography of a Prince, "which was published in 2018. She accompanied the prince for over a year for her material. This was before the duchess became his bride officially and she saw through the changes happening between Prince Harry and Meghan as a couple.
The author observed that in the first few months of her new life, Meghan didn't fully grasp the difference between the popularity of a celebrity versus a royal. Many of Prince Harry's friends also critical of the duchess former life as a Hollywood actress.
Levin confirmed that Prince Harry did drop some of the people who didn't connect with his wife, as was earlier rumored. The Duke of Sussex is completely devoted to the mother of his child.
"I think Harry so far has become more showbiz," the royal expert further said. "But that might change. You view the world in such a different way when you have a child."
