Avid followers of the American drama thriller television series are, now, excited for its new installment. The series centers on the story of Elliot Alderson, who is a hacker and cybersecurity engineer that is suffering from clinical depression and has a social anxiety disorder. Now that the popular series is set to bid goodbye via Mr. Robot Season 4, viewers are wondering what could transpire in the future.

Series creator Sam Esmail confirmed the reports saying that Mr. Robot Season 4 is going to be the series' final installment in August 2018. Speaking to Collider, Christian Slater backed-up Sam's previous claims that said that his fans would have to say farewell to the titular character and Elliot Alderson. Though the 49-year-old American actor is quite certain about the show's cancellation after the fourth season, he failed to reveal details of the imminent new installment.

"[Creator Sam Esmail] always said it was going to be somewhere in that zone, and he didn't want to go further than what he could creatively contribute to that storyline. So, I think that season four will be it," Christian Slater told the publication when asked about the upcoming Mr. Robot Season 4. "I think they're in the writers' room, as we speak, putting it all together, but I have no idea what it's gonna be, or if I'm gonna be floating in and out of scenes. I have no idea, so we'll see what happens," he went on.

Rami Malek, who is also one of the series regulars, added that the studio is willing to do several seasons of the popular thriller television series. However, Sam Esmail, allegedly, restrained. Despite this, the 38-year-old actor-producer said he supported his decision and described the show creator as "a very brilliant human being." He added that the Mr. Robot Season 4 creator has a story to tell.

Aside from Christian Slater and Rami Malek, other personalities expected to make a return in Mr. Robot Season 4 include Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Grace Gummer, Martin Wallstrom, Stephanie Corneliussen and Michael Cristofer among others. As for its plot, Sam revealed that it would explore a new phase of Elliot Alderson and Mr. Robot's relationship. He said that the upcoming new installment would be about disintegration.

With a total of 12 episodes, the forthcoming fourth and final installment is expected to premiere sometime in November or December 2019. Stay tuned to Business Times for more Mr. Robot Season 4 spoilers, theories, predictions, news, and updates!
