George R.R. Martin's famed fantasy world will return to the small screen with Game of Thrones Prequel after an epic eight seasons of the original series. A lot of questions are surrounding the spinoff series, from its main characters to what will be Jane Goldman's, its new showrunner, take on the series. As it is bound to secrecy, fans also wanted to know when they will officially see the show on television.

The prequel is now in the works, although the pilot's production reportedly has wrapped up. The show is maybe now on post-production, so it may soon get a confirmed completion date.

According to Express, when the production team behind the show has finished working, HBO may announce when Game of Thrones Prequel will be out. The show will be from the great minds of both Martin and Goldman.

Goldman has a long list of great screenplays under her belt. She is the one behind Kick-Ass, Kingsman: The Secret Service and The Woman in Black. She has worked on the action, adventure, supernatural horror, alternate-history thrillers, and romantic fantasy movies.

She also helped writing Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class and Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past, which said to be the two best films in the movie franchise. Goldman even had her television show about researching paranormal phenomena, titled Jane Goldman Investigates, which ran until 2004. She also has collaborations with Tim Burton and Neil Gaiman, per Pop Matters

Hence, Goldman may be the best showrunner that will handle Game of Thrones Prequel. The show has been HBO's most lucrative series, and its sequel will be the first time that the network will try doing a spinoff.

So, HBO will not only employ anyone who might further destroy the series' reputation after the complaints Season 8 receives and the angry fans. Both the network heads and Martin himself chose Goldman's script over Bryan Cogman's, who is also an Emmy-winning Game of Thrones writer for 11 episodes, and a super nerd about A Song of Ice and Fire novel series, on which the show is based.

In the making of Game of Thrones Prequel, Goldman has the freedom to do what she wants to do. She probably now has an idea for its story arc as she can use the original series' previous seasons as her guide. So, fans have to wait for further news and announcements about the new series.
