Mandy Ellis (played by Jessica Pare) might no longer be assigned to oversee the men of Bravo on SEAL Team season 3. However, she's still pretty much a part of the group and the CIA even with her demotion.
Viewers will recall that Mandy was given a hard scolding by her superiors in the finale of SEAL Team season 2 because she got an asset killed. While this might be a huge blow to her career, Mandy's new job will still see her side by side with Bravo.
According to TV Line, Mandy's new job will have her running alongside Bravo in SEAL Team season 3. She won't be cooped in an office in Washington D.C. or talking to the men through their specialized communications system.
"She's out in the field, in the middle of the action, even interrogating sources on target with Bravo," showrunner John Glenn said.
In fact, in the first photos released for SEAL Team season 3, Mandy is in Serbia with Bravo as they track down a bomb maker intent on destroying military compounds and public places in London, Italy and America. This is a new world and a new responsibility for the character.
Meanwhile, SEAL Team season 3 has added two new actors in recurring roles. Jamie McShane and Rudy Dobrev will be joining star David Boreanaz (as Jason Hayes).
According to Deadline, McShane has been cast as Captain Lundell, described as a "hard changing leader," who's in charge of a new generation of soldiers. Dobrev, on the other hand, will play Filip, a field agent for the Serbia Intelligence Agency who wants to prevent a war. He will provide some intel for Bravo through Mandy.
SEAL Team season 3 will find Jason and his team going through therapy. So, they will be seeing much of Dr. Natalie Pierce (played by Emily Swallow) who will ensure that they are mentally and emotionally prepared for operational longevity.
It's unclear, however, for how many seasons these recurring actors will be in for SEAL Team season 3. But Swallow's character is going to get along well with Bravo that she could be a permanent addition.
CBS has confirmed that SEAL Team season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 9:00 p.m. The show also stars A.J. Buckley, Neil Brown Jr., Max Thieriot, Toni Trucks, Tyler Grey, Justin Melnick and Judd Lormand.
