Prince William and wife, Kate Middleton, are always in tight security detail whenever they travel abroad. But, their upcoming five-day tour in Pakistan is way different. Kensington Palace described the tour as the "most complex" in any other royal visits that the couple has done before. About 1,000 police officers are said to protect the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Pakistan.

Reports indicate that William and Kate will be afforded with an unprecedented level of security during their five-day royal visit. Details of the trip are tightly guarded. Apparently, it will only be revealed to the media at the last minute.

The security measures for the couple have been heightened beyond anything that has ever been taken before to make sure that possible threats from the Islamic militants will be averted. According to The Telegraph, the main goal of ironclad security detail is to make sure of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's safety as Pakistan hopes the visit could repair the country's image to the world.

The trip aims to forge closer links between the United Kingdom and the second-largest country in the Commonwealth. The tour will, likewise, focus on climate change and the country's access to education and security.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to arrive in Pakistan on October 14 and visit the mountainous north, the capital city of the country, Islamabad, as well the city of Lahore. Reports also indicate that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be meeting Princess Diana's friend, Oxford-educated Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan as well.

This is the first visit to Pakistan by members of the royal family in more than a decade. The last member of the British royal family who visited the country were Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles, in 2006.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani government believes that Prince William and Kate Middleton's visit will greatly help the tourism of the country. Pakistan used to attract British visitors but it changed after the 9/11 attack in the U.S. and the series of suicide attacks within the country.

There is already a renewed interest in Pakistan among fashion enthusiasts. Ahead of the royal visit, Kate wore a pair of $8 earrings by Pakistani brand Zeen last week. The item was immediately sold out.

Eyes are the Duchess of Cambridge on what she would wear during the Pakistan visit. Mirror reported that Pakistanis are hoping to see the mother-of-three to wear items by Pakistani designers or in shalwar kameez, which is a long, flowing tunic over loose trousers. Princess Diana wore shalwar kameez during visits to Pakistan in the 90s.
