WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Bosch season 6 that may influence your enjoyment in discovering the plotlines. Read at your own risk.

Bosch season 6 is in the middle of production in Los Angeles since July 2019. Renewed in November last year, the show has become Amazon's longest-running one-hour drama series with Titus Welliver in the titular lead as police detective Harry Bosch.

According to Amazon AdviserBosch season 6 will drop on Amazon's streaming platform Amazon Prime by April 2020. The exact day has not yet been revealed but it is speculated that subscribers would be able to access the new episodes between April 18 to 25

Bosch season 6 will cover at least three books based on the novels written by Michael Connelly novels. These are "City of Bones" published in 2002, "The Concrete Blonde" published in 1994, and "Echo Park" published in 2006.

Some of the storylines in these books were also touched in the first season, according to Digital Spy. However, some parts of it will be used in Bosch season 6 to give more personal insights to Welliver's character, such as his background about his mother who was a prostitute.

However, it's also possible that Bosch season 6 will delve on "The Closers" the 11th novel in Connelly's work that was published in 2005. The premise of this story is about a Neo-Nazi group which is relevant even in today's times.

At the end of last season, Bosch experienced challenges in his professional career and ordered the killing of potential assassins. Bosch was subjected to an internal investigation because of this, along with his partner. Edgar was pressured in the investigations and broke down while Bosch remained unmoved. Bosch season 6 could revisit this subplot based on the fifth season finale.

Incidentally, there are still a lot more from the novels that Bosch hasn't touched, which means that this Amazon show could still deliver juicy and interesting plots if the streaming platform decides to renew the show for season 7. Fans expect that Amazon will have some announcement about that by February or March 2020 since the show's renewal news usually come before a new season debuts.

Meanwhile, aside from Welliver, expected to be back in Bosch season 6 are Jamie Hector (as Jerry Edgar), Amy Aquino (as Grace Billets), Lance Reddick (as Irvin Irving) and Madison Lintz (as Maddie Bosch). Deadline reported that Julie Ann Emery is also joining the upcoming season for a recurring role as Sylvia Reece.

Bosch seasons 1 to 5 are still accessible for Amazon Prime subscribers who might want to re-watch or catch up on the show before the sixth season premiere.
