It can't be denied that Prince William and Kate Middleton's state visit in Pakistan is a great success. However, there are reports that the programs, like conservation and women's education, they are promoting in the country are somewhat similar to the causes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are advocating when they were in South Africa.

"These are a lot of the areas, fairly politicized areas - conservation, children - they are sort of the things Meghan and Harry were doing in Africa and of course when they were visiting Australia and New Zealand," royal commentator Angela Mollard said on New Idea podcast, Royals. Hence, she added that the things they were interested in would overlap.

It was quite interesting that what the Cambridges did appear to be similar to what the Sussex's did when they were on tour. However, Mollard explained that it might only be a coincidence and not a "purposeful move." She went on to say that the same causes they promoted might be the pressing issues in both Pakistan and South Africa today.

There are also reports that Meghan's emotional ITV interview "overshadowed" Prince William and Kate's tour in Pakistan. The Sussex gave candid interviews for the upcoming ITV documentary, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey. However, Robert Johnson from the Evening Standard believed the decision to drop teasers while the Cambridges were still in Pakistan "baffled and infuriated" aides.

A senior figure even told the publication Prince Harry and Meghan's move overshadowed Prince William and Kate Middleton's visit to Pakistan and what they managed to achieve in their last few days. It also affected the numerous works done by dedicated people both on the ground and the ones back at home for several months. The report noted that there is a "decades-long unwritten rule" that members of the royal family should not overshadow official overseas visits of the more senior royals.

But, despite several uncanny similarities and overshadow issues, there is a big difference when it comes to the royals' wardrobes. As a lot of people have been following their style and fashion, fans are always keen to know the details of what they will be wearing.

Mollard claimed that a lot of information was given about Kate's clothing, which was the opposite of Meghan's tour. Unfortunately, they didn't get any details about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's clothes when they were in South Africa. She explained that it was Meghan's decision so that it would not "detract from the work they were doing."
