When it comes to the most popular kisses in the world, Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding kiss at the Buckingham Palace balcony topped the kiss shared by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they exchanged vows at Windsor Castle. But, nothing can beat the wedding kiss of Prince Charles to Princess Diana in 1981, which won the survey with over 25 percent of the votes.

The poll was reportedly commissioned by History for its new TV show, Photos That Changed the World. The most popular kiss in the world was featured in the episode that aired last Monday, Oct. 21, in the U.K.

A spokesperson for History told The Sun that Prince Charles and Princess Diana's kiss was an unplanned kiss. The couple forgot to kiss during the ceremony. So, they decided to lock lips in front of a large crowd looking at them from the balcony.

Following Prince Charles and Princess Diana on the list of world's best kisses are the cartoon characters in the Disney film Lady and The Tramp. The animated dogs tied with Prince William and Duchess Kate with 24 percent of the votes.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding kiss polled at number five, with 15 percent of the votes. Eclipsing them was the kiss between George Mendonsa, a U.S. Navy Sailor, and Greta Friedman in Times Square, New York, with 20 percent of the votes.

About 96 percent of the poll takers also believe that Prince William and Duchess Kate's marriage will last compared to the marriage of Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Four in five people, on the other hand, think that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will outlast the relationship of the duke's parents.

The survey comes amid rumors that Prince William allegedly cheated on his wife of three kids. Headlines linked the Duke of Cambridge to a neighbor and family friend, Rose Hansbury. Insiders told The Sun that Duchess Kate and Hansbury are no longer friends after the rumors surfaced.

The former model and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley is married to David Cholmondeley, a member of the House of Lords. Talks alleged that she has been having problems in her marriage, who is 23 years older than her.

The palace has not publicly addressed the rumors to deny Prince William's affairs. According to The Daily Beast, Prince William's lawyers sent a warning to the tabloids for their false and highly damaging reports.
