Princess Diana's children have different approaches in dealing with her own nemesis: the media. But, this seems to be the very reason why Prince William and Prince Harry are taking "different paths" today.
After months of rumors about the rift between William and Harry, the Duke of Sussex, finally, admitted that there has been tension between him and his brother. To this, the Duke of Cambridge as well Queen Elizabeth II have, reportedly, expressed concern to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In an ITV documentary of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's recent visit to South Africa, Princess Diana's youngest son said he and his brother are traveling on "different paths" when asked about the rumored tension. Prince Harry, however, assured that whatever their differences are, he will also be Prince William's brother.
The Duke of Cambridge is, reportedly, taken aback of Prince Harry's statement. It made him concern enough to allow aides to speak of his worries about Prince Harry's and Meghan Markle's welfare.
Insiders told BBC that Prince William is worried about his brother and hopes that Prince Harry is all right. William also, reportedly, believes that Harry and Meghan Markle's six-week break from their royal duties is a good idea as the couple is currently in a "fragile place."
Daily Mail's Richard Kay, meanwhile, noted that Prince William is certainly perplexed by his brother's behavior. The future king believes that his brother has handled some of the issues unwisely. Though William is reportedly uncomfortable about Prince Harry's recent statement, the Duke of Cambridge will always support and look out for his younger brother.
So, where do Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles stand on the issue? According to Daily Mail, the Queen and Charles are hoping that challenges of fatherhood to Prince Harry would overcome the differences that existed between Diana's sons.
Reports indicate that the brothers have a falling out after Prince William advised Prince Harry to take it slow with his romance with Meghan Markle because they barely knew her. William's lives on his mother's words that the most important thing before he gets married is to be close friends with the woman he would like to spend his whole life with.
Prince William dated Kate Middleton for eight years before they got engaged and, eventually, got married. Prince Harry, on the other hand, met Meghan Markle in 2016, got engaged the following year, and walked down the aisle in 2018.
The tension between the brothers, reportedly, exacerbated when the Sussexes left Kensington Palace, where they lived next door to Prince William and Kate Middleton, and moved to Windsor. Additionally, Prince William and Prince Harry also parting ways over their charity work with the Sussexes set to launch their own royal foundation next year.
