YG Entertainment posted an official statement on their website in regards to their Big Bang members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. The three singers are ahead of the discharge from the military service.
The article posted on October 23rd was written with the title, "Announcement on visiting Big Bang's G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung Discharges from Mandatory Military Service". The article requested that fans refrain from visiting them.
The company explained, "The military bases where G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are serving are in border territory where the African swine fever (ASF) virus has been detected. In order to prevent further spread of the virus, the quarantine system is being strengthened, and not visiting this area is being recommended."
"Civil authorities have also requested extra caution, so we ask that fans refrain from visiting for their discharges in order to prevent spread of the virus and for the safety of fans," added the statement.
YG Entertainment expressed thanks to all the fans waiting for the discharge and said, "We thank V.I.P who have been waiting for the discharges of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, and we once again ask for fans to refrain from visiting."
G-Dragon enlisted in February 2018. Taeyang and Daesung followed in March, 2018.
G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are going to complete their duty in defense in October and November, respectively. As the members of BIGBANG are loved by music fans all over the world including Korea, their return is drawing attention.
