Prince Harry and Meghan Markle surprised everyone when they opened up about their struggles dealing with the media in a recent ITV documentary. After they revealed the pressures they are going through for being part of the royal family, British journalist Angela Levin deemed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex seemed to be "miserable and unhappy."

Levin thinks Prince Harry and Megan find it hard to handle the stresses of being in the spotlight after their recent South Africa tour. "I think (Harry) feels and looks incredibly miserable and unhappy," Levin told Sky News. "Meghan is unhappy, too, and it seems incredibly sad that they can't seem to help each other at the moment."

Levin is a royal affair veteran reporter, who accompanied and followed Prince Harry for a year. In 2018, she wrote Prince Harry's biography, Harry: A Biography of a Prince, which is about their exclusive discussion before he married Meghan. Recently, she released a paperback version of the book, which featured a closer look at his marriage life from different sources who have insider knowledge about the couple.

Levin believes Prince Harry's distress began when he retraced Princess Diana's steps in Angola. She thinks Prince Charles' youngest son is having another wave of agony over his mother. But, aside from being caught in a swirl of emotions, she suggests there may be more to the royal couple's "unhappiness."

Their misery may come after they opened up in the ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, which chronicled their ten-day trip in South Africa. The former actress revealed that she felt like she was "existing" but "not living." Her husband, on the other hand, disclosed his struggles with mental health, per Daily Mail Online.

Meghan Markle talked about the struggling pressures of living a royal life and the "damaging" impact of the "British stiff upper lip." It was the first time that the former Suits star had an on-screen interview since she gave birth to Archie in May.

Meghan admitted that she felt vulnerable being under the media spotlight when she was still pregnant. Although she knew things would never be easy once she became a part of the royal family, she never thought it would be unfair, which made it hard for her to reconcile.

She even told Prince Harry, whom she calls H, that it is not enough to only survive something, insisting that it is not the point of life. Meghan Markle suggested that they have to thrive and feel happy. However, although she tried to adopt the British sensibility of a stiff upper lip, its internal effect is probably damaging her.
