G-Dragon finally completed his mandatory service and was discharged last October 26. While his family celebrated his homecoming, some BTS ARMYs received criticism for unfavorable statements they posted on Kwon Dami's Instagram post.

According to a report by All Kpop, G-Dragon's family held a small welcome home party and Kwon Dami shared some scenes of their celebration to keep the fans posted. However, one of her posts included a view of the fireworks after BTS' concert in Seoul, which was misinterpreted by some ARMYs.

It seemed that Kwon Dami posted the image to appreciate the timing of the fireworks with the family celebration. However, some members of the BTS fandom jumped to the conclusion that G-Dragon's sister was ridiculing the success of the junior idols.

The post was flooded by nasty comments and challenges to pit BIGBANG's previous success with that of the current attention being received by BTS. Some bashed BIGBANG for the spate of scandals that affected its members over the years.

The unexpected attack sparked negative reactions among netizens who criticized this behavior as immature and uncalled for. Some netizens also called on fans to leave out family members in the fan wars among idol groups.

BIGBANG members seem unfazed by these issues as T.O.P. screenshot the text messages he had with G-Dragon on the completion of his mandatory service.

T.O.P. initially texted his congratulatory message to G-Dragon, to which the BIGBANG leader replied humbly: "Thank you for taking responsibility for all of my time during my mandatory service, hyung." T.O.P., later, replied with a heart emoji.

It can be recalled that BIGBANG's T.O.P. completed his mandatory enlistment in July. However, he has not been active in the music scene for the past several months.

He, recently, floated the idea of leaving the music industry after a fan criticized him on social media, recalling his marijuana scandal in 2017 during his enlistment. T.O.P's reply caused fans to worry about BIGBANG's potential disbandment.

When they return, BIGBANG members will also deal with the issue of youngest member Seungri's alleged involvement in prostitution and illegal gambling activities which prompted him to announce his retirement from the entertainment business last March.

YG Entertainment is still mum on plans for G-Dragon and BIGBANG's comeback pending the discharge of remaining members Taeyang and Daesung in November.
