Kate Middleton's younger sister, Pippa Middleton, has been digging herself into a new popular alternative therapy for her son, Arthur. Pippa explained her fascination with cranial osteopathy and how it has been helping her one-year-old child.

In her recent Waitrose Weekend magazine column, Pippa revealed that she has embraced cranial osteopathy despite its lack of scientific evidence and cost. The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister said she has taken her son Arthur Michael William Matthews to sessions of cranial osteopathy since he was seven-month-old.

Pippa married hedge fund manager James Matthews in May 2017, in a lavish ceremony at St. Mark's Church. The ceremony was attended by Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children -- Prince George and Princess Charlotte, as well as Prince Harry. The Matthews welcomed their firstborn on Oct. 15, 2018.

The 36-year-old mom said, after Arthur was born, she heard a lot of mothers are talking about the popular alternative therapy. She said it is great for newborns, particularly those who have had a traumatic birth or have trouble sleeping.

"It claims to heal, relax and promote sleep, digestion and body alignment through the gentle head and body manipulation," she wrote in her column.

Pippa Middleton revealed that Arthur's osteopath first noticed that one side of her son's neck was tighter than the other, which apparently is the reason why he favored one side sleeping. Additionally, Arthur's arms are stronger than his legs. So, his therapist gave him exercises for his legs.

The younger Middleton added that the therapy is not only beneficial for children but to mothers as well. She also admitted that it is quite expensive but the effects are worth it.

Pippa also acknowledged there is a lack of scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of this type of therapy. Kate Middleton's sister, however, claimed that she and her son have positive experiences with cranial osteopathy so far.

Cranial osteopathy is an alternative therapy that uses gentle touch to encourage the release of tensions throughout the body. Experts on this treatment claim cranial osteopathy can make children less unsettled, improve their sleep, soothe their irritability, and boosts their happy spells.

However, some skeptics claimed its plain quackery and pointed out that several medical studies have already dismissed its claimed effectiveness. A paper published in the National Center for Biotechnology Information website stated that cranial osteopathy doesn't bring any benefits to the subjects.

This is not the first time Pippa Middleton talked about pregnancy or baby tips in her Waitrose column. During her pregnancy, Pippa published some exercises that pregnant women can do.
