Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, reportedly, hired the American public relations firm, Sunshine Sachs, to help develop and maintain the image of their new cause -- the Sussex Royal the Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. However, some royal fans questioned the couple's move to hire a foreign PR company instead of sourcing from their own country.

In a discussion on the forum site Quora, royal fans tackled Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move to hire a PR company from the U.S. Pamela Lipscomb saw it as a desperate move. She explained that the firm might find it hard to understand the nuances of the royal family and their relationship with the press. Also, it may have a hard time to improve the former actress' reputation with the British public.

An American citizen herself, Lynn Adams, admitted she couldn't understand why a royal family member would hire a foreign PR company. She believed it would be more "politically advantageous" for the two to hire a British firm instead. She also assumed that their desire to fix their public image with the help of a U.S. company might fail.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sought the help of an American PR company as they announced the first move of their new independent organization. The royal couple hired Sunshine Sachs in the wake of their split from the Royal Foundation that they used to share with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

According to People, Sunshine Sachs is based on New York and is now working on with Travalyst. It is a collaboration that Prince Harry teamed up with the leaders in the travel industry to promote eco-friendly tourism that he announced at an event in Amsterdam. However, despite having a new PR firm, Sarah Latham, Hillary Clinton's former campaign advisor, will remain to be the head of the Sussexes' communication team and continue to handle Harry and Meghan's personal matters.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry used to be part of Prince William and Kate Middleton's shared foundation. But, when they started to take "divergent paths" in their charity work, they felt the need to put it on effect in a different outlet.

A source told the publication that separate foundations were a "natural progression" for the royal couples. It also followed the Sussexes' decision to separate their joint court at Kensington Palace by creating two offices or households. Although there are rumors that the move is due to an alleged rift between the two families, some say it is just because Prince Harry already has a family of his own that he has to move.
