Taylor Swift poured her heart out and finally expressed her feeling whenever she is slut-shamed in public. The award-winning singer also talked about the misogynism in the music industry.

In the recent Zane Lowe's interview with Swift over at Apple Music Beats 1 Radio, the singer spoke about the sexist double standard and slut-shaming in the music industry with hopes that younger female artists won't have to deal with the same situation she had experienced in the past. Taylor Swift opened up about her struggles with sexism in the business and called out the industry for tolerating the kind of environment.

The "Lover" hitmaker recalled her firsthand experience of sexism in the music industry when she was 23. Swift said, despite writing quality music at the time, she was constantly being criticized for being a "serial dater" and for writing songs about her past relationships.

She expressed her frustration that her dating life gains more attention rather than her music. Taylor Swift also recalled the times when critics put her songwriting skills as a trick rather than a skill and a craft.

Swift made it clear that she wants to be known as a successful woman in the industry and not on the men she dated. Taylor Swift said the thought of young artists dealing with the same thing she experienced takes her to a "real sad place." Swift said what makes her sad now is that slut-shaming and misogyny continue to exist in the business.

"I can see a headline about a young artist, about a young female artist, about another breakup, and it sends me into a real sad place because I don't want that to keep happening," she told Lowe.

The "ME!" singer, recently, reflected in a heartfelt message, on social media, the 13th anniversary of the release of her self-titled debut album. She accompanied her lengthy post with two performance photos. One of which was during her early career with only people in the crowd and the second is a snap from one stops of her sold-out Reputation arena tour.
