The most recent episode of ABC's This Is Us sparked a lot of talks and different reactions among fans and viewers. As it happened, Cassidy and Kevin surprised everyone when they slept together, only to wake up feeling regretful.
While it is already expected that something has been brewing between the two characters, a lot of fans did not expect the relationship to happen this early in the season. Aside from the fact that Kevin and Cassidy are both struggling in their respective lives, Cassidy is still married to Ryan, whom she shares a son with.
Cassidy's arrival on the course of This Is Us has become a game-changer. No one knows, at first, what's her connection to the family.
According to previous reports, some fans thought that she's probably a daughter to Uncle Nicky. Others, however, knew it from the start that she's going to be a new love interest in Kevin's arc.
It took five to six episodes, though, before Kevin and Cassidy decided to give it a shot. However, fans weren't shipping the relationship.
In a scoop made by StyleCaster, the publication released some of the fans' reactions and comments about the steamy scene that the two characters shared in This Is Us Season 4 Episode 6. Based on the general reception, fans felt disappointed with the flow of the story.
Many fans still prefer Sophie over Cassidy. But, since their relationship is already a thing of the past, viewers were expecting Kevin to get better first. A fan even explained it in a post on social media.
The shocking kiss was confusing enough. Even so, what made it more surprising was the thought that Cassidy might be the mother of Kevin's kid in the future.
While it's possible given the course of the show, a lot are still hoping that things could change for the better. Besides, Ryan, Cassidy's husband, made it known since then that he does not want to get separated from his wife.
The situation that they are all in is now much more complicated. Many are also convinced that this will not end well, especially for Kevin, considering that Ryan already asked him to stay back from his wife,.
All in all, though, these are just speculations and reactions made by the fandom. Things might still work out for the better in the upcoming episodes of This Is Us.
