K-Pop singer IU created a song for those she loves.
On November 1st, IU's "Love Poem" was released. It is a new song and a pre-release song for the new album that will be released for the first time in a year. The song has reached the top of various charts such as Melon, Genie, Soribada, Flo and Bugs.
The singer IU spoke on the reason for composing the song, "It is difficult to see the person you love is becoming isolated. It is painful not doing anything for that situation and just watching over it. I misunderstood that giving encouraging words quickly or comforts was for the person being alone." She asked that the person may take rest by listening to this song even if it may sound selfish.
"I still don't put up with myself and interrupt when I see someone struggling. But now I know that my actions are not just to comfort the person but my earnest desire to see a person's carefree daily life. As I am the person asking you, I wish that the least things may be done."
She also expressed that she would continue to sing saying, "I can sing as much as I can to my loved ones. I will diligently write sincere poems like many poems I have received from the world in music."
IU will meet fans in starting from Gwangju and traveling to the cities of Incheon, Busan, Seoul with IU Tour Concert 'Love, poem (Love, Poem)' in November. Starting in December, the trip will expand to Asia traveling abroad to Taiwan, Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Jakarta.
