Meghan Markle once again caught everyone's attention when she gave an interview to a British newspaper at the Luminary Bakery in London. Here, she talked about people's connectedness and shared feelings. Although she seems to have good intentions, it looks like the Duchess of Sussex breaks a major royal protocol that even Kate Middleton and Prince William try not to do.

Prince Harry's wife allowed The Telegraph to write her thoughts as she visited the charity bakery that helps disadvantaged women. This bakeshop aims to empower these ladies through training and giving them opportunities for employment in the said field.

According to The Daily Beast, Meghan's move to give a newspaper interview is a major breach of royal protocol that even Prince William and Kate Middleton never did. There is said to be a strict rule never to give one-on-one newspaper interviews. Queen Elizabeth II herself never even carried one, although Prince Charles did it on rare occasions.

While at the Luminary Bakery, which Meghan Markle featured in her guest-edited September issue of British Vogue, she told all the women there that one of the things she realized since becoming a royal was that people always have high expectations whenever she's coming somewhere. "So I'm like, let's just be really relaxed, keep everyone nice and chilled because, at the end of the day, we're all just women," she said. "We all have a story to tell, and I feel honored that I am getting to hear yours."

Refinery29 added that it's unusual for a royal family member to directly talk to the press and give a one-on-one interview, even if it's "off-the-cuff" at an event. This could still be seen as a breach of royal protocol.

Meanwhile, newspaper writer Byrony Gordon shared a sweet story about her and Meghan. She recalled how they managed to develop a close friendship after they met one year ago. She revealed that she first met the Duchess of Sussex 18 months ago, shortly before she married Prince Harry.

The two had lunch at one of the restaurants in London, enjoying their meals while sitting in a corner where Meghan was unnoticed and undisturbed. At the time, the former actress ate monkfish, which she gladly offered when she expressed her food envy. They talked about some of their shared passions, like "mental health, running, and yoga."

This is not the first time that Meghan became controversial because of her interviews. To recall, her recent ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, with her husband, Prince Harry, also made noise when they confessed their struggles about living the royal life.
