When The Resident Season 3 started its course a few weeks ago, the premiere became a very emotional episode. As it happened, Nic's sister, Jessie died, instead of their father.
The whole revelation did not entirely surprise fans and viewers. However, what they found out after the demise became the more shocking event in the course.
As per reports, the suspicions and questions surrounding Jessie's death have become the focal point of The Resident Season 3. This is because they, especially Nic and Conrad, are now looking for the truth behind the supposed "natural" death due to illness.
The show is now five episodes deep. Based on the premise, Nic and Conrad are getting closer to finding the answers to their questions. As seen in the most recent episode titled, Choice Words, tracing back medicines and records ate most of the couple's time inside Chastain. However, they came across a huge dilemma about the situation, whether to follow the rules or sneak their way in to find the truth.
In a recap and review made by TV Insider, Nic and Conrad left things unanswered for now. But, it looks like Conrad is inclining towards the latter option despite the risks of losing his license.
While no clues were given yet as to what the decision will be, the synopsis of The Resident Season 3 Episode 6 titled, Nurses' Day, hints that Conrad will continue with his search. Although it is not directly about Jessie's death, he will learn that his father has been taking the same medication in question that Jessie took before.
Accordingly, this will likely force him to do something behind Nic's back.
As per Cartermatt, Nic and Conrad's relationship is in a strong position as of the moment. However, Conrad's possible actions toward the apparent issue might cause a rift between the two.
It is also possible that Nic and Conrad may decide to end the relationship afterward. Nevertheless, these are just speculations and theories made by fans and critics based on recent events of The Resident Season 3.
On another note, the upcoming episode was also hinted to focus on the national Nurses' day inside Chastain. While the goal is to celebrate the nurses and their efforts, the synopsis teases that a more "toxic" culture will emerge as the hospital will be understaffed and overworked.
The Resident Season 3 Episode 6 will air on Nov. 12, on Fox.
