Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still have a lot of royal engagements to finish before they take their six-week break. Fans will still see their favorite royal couple doing their duties and here are their next activities in the coming days.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended several public engagements since they returned to the United Kingdom from South Africa last month. Before they start their holiday, the Sussexes stepped out to attend the Remembrance Day event in central London on Thursday, per Express.
The two graced the 91st Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey with Camilla Parker Bowles, who is the patron of the Poppy Factory. The Duchess of Cornwall was set to accompany other royals to the event to remember the British servicemen.
At the site, there were tens of thousands of poppies on wooden crosses to honor the bravery of the armed forces. Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Camilla gave their own tributes to the sea of flowers before they observed the Last Post and the two-minute silence. It was the first time that Duchess of Sussex visited the site, while it was the seventh time the Duke of Sussex went to the occasion.
After that, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are also set to make an appearance in two other engagements. The first one is a special event at the Royal Albert Hall with Queen Elizabeth II and other senior royals.
They, too, will be reunited with the Cambridges on the second event. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will meet Kate Middleton and Prince William, along with Camilla and Her Majesty herself, at the Cenotaph for the annual Remembrance Sunday ceremony. Prince Charles will also be at the event to lay a wreath on behalf of his mother, who will watch the service from a nearby balcony.
After these engagements, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will embark on their six-week vacation in the United States. The two will disappear from the spotlight for more than a month as they spend their time with the former actress' family.
The Sussexes will be celebrating their first Thanksgiving with their firstborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in Meghan Markle's home country and mother, Doria Ragland. "They plan to spend time as a family for their first break this year," a royal source told Harper's Bazaar.
Allegedly, the two decided to take a break after the intense media scrutiny they experienced over the last few months. The couple was exhausted with all the malicious allegations about them as they gave their emotional interviews in the ITV documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, during their South African tour.
