Recent reports shocked the public when it was revealed that Duchess Camilla left Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in one of the most important events.
On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex went to visit the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey. However, the Duchess of Cornwall wasn't there with them. According to New Idea, the 72-year-old duchess left the Sussex couple "high and dry."
Some fans thought that this was another rift between the Sussex couple and other members of the royal family. But, it was later revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall was ordered by her doctor to cancel her engagements.
Unfortunately, she is suffering from a "chest infection." She was also pulled out from one of her previous engagements due to the severity of the condition.
Sources from Express UK revealed that Duchess Camilla was scheduled to attend a gala dinner on Wednesday evening. As Vice Patron, she was supposed to be at the London Library for Prince Albert's 200th birthday celebration.
However, her doctor advised her to stay at home and rest instead, as per reports. The same thing also happened to the Thursday event.
As per insiders, the engagement at Westminster Abbey is a close one to Duchess Camilla's heart. Aside from her close relations, she also happens to be the Patron of the Poppy Factory, where the Remembrance Poppies are made.
Accordingly, she was revealed to be very "disappointed" not attending the engagement. Not to mention, it felt even more frustrating leaving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle alone in the event.
Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles were last seen in public on Wednesday. The couple went to visit the farmers' market in the London borough of Camden.
Some video footage of the visit has shown that the duchess is already suffering from a poor health condition. She was seen coughing as per sources.
But, despite the condition, she still tried to speak to the sellers at the market, along with Prince Charles. She was reported to engage conversations with the farmers and ask about their "jobs and products."
No one knows yet if she could make it on Saturday's and Sunday's events. But, she is expected to join the other senior royals for the celebration of the Annual Remembrance Day.
Also, no further reports or updates were given to the public about her health condition. But, royal fans and supporters have remained positive and hopeful for the duchess' fast recovery.
