As a popular member royal family, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, can't step out in public without people talking about her looks. This week, royal fans have once again been debating over her new highlights. Is she trying trying to cover up graying hair?
Kate visited the victims of Grenfell Tower fire this week along with Prince William. She appeared to have lighter hair than before and she was looking blonder than her usual dark hair.
According to Daily Express, royal fans on social media think that the Duchess of Cambridge has been trying to hide her graying hair because she changed her hair color two times this year. Another fan said that, perhaps, Kate Middleton wanted to look younger and change up her brunette locks.
Kate matched her new look with a royal blue belted dress from Emilia Wickstead, dark pointed-toe heels from Jimmy Choo, and a dark crocodile leather handbag from Aspinal of London. To complete her look, Kate wore a pair of sapphire earrings, which used to be Princess Diana's.
According to Daily Mail, the earrings were part of a gift that Prince William gave Kate Middleton when they married in 2011. It matched the engagement ring he gave his then-fiancée, which also belonged to his mother. Kate remodelled the earrings with a beautiful dangling design.
Meanwhile, Vanity Fair reported that Queen Elizabeth is a "huge fan" of the Duchess of Cambridge's "unflappable" demeanor. A source told the news outlet that the Queen is apparently impressed with Kate, who has a "calm and carry on approach" as a royal in contrast to the other negative press received by other members of the royal family.
For her achievements, Kate Middleton was given the Royal Family Order, which is regarded as the highest honor for a female royal family member. According to royal biographer Claudia Joseph, Kate looks happier and more confident this year with Prince William and their three kids, as well as the honor from Queen Elizabeth.
Kate is also leading in various popularity polls about the royal family. Observers note that she's pretty much a relatable person despite her status as she still shops in mainstream stores, does school runs for her kids, and hangs around with her children's parents at pubs. Her style, her behavior and her interaction with other people are carefully scrutinized but she remains likeable to the majority.
Sources also said that Kate seems more relaxed about who she is. Once wary of photographers and publicity, Kate was instrumental in allowing the press to take photos of her kids at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show or at the football match.
