For more than six decades now, Queen Elizabeth II has maintained her dignified image and outstanding standard. As per reports, her famous motto, "never explain, never complain," has become one of the reasons why.
It is believed that she has advised this motto of hers to every member of the British royal family. While everyone is deemed to follow it effectively, Prince Harry and her wife, Meghan Markle disregarded it thoroughly.
The world witnessed how the Sussex couple did it recently during their interview with Tom Bradby. It was bold and shocking as the royals confessed about their struggles living the royal life. This is also the reason why the interview is referred to as "bombshell."
Based on statements, it seemed that Prince Harry confirmed that there is an apparent rift between him and Prince William. On Meghan Markle's part, she confessed that her life right now had been "internally damaging." But, all in all, the couple seemingly attested that no one supports them within the royal family.
Quite obviously, everyone was shocked and surprised. Some called it as their way of "modernizing" the monarchy. Others, however, found it "offensive," especially to Queen Elizabeth II.
The commotion continued to spiral the following weeks. Although a lot of people have a lot to say about the controversy, it seemed like the queen has remained silent over the issue. As noted by royal experts, she is still following her golden motto of not explaining and not complaining.
According to Express UK, however, royal correspondents believe that 2019 could be the second "annus horribilis" of Queen Elizabeth II. It is a Latin phrase, which means "horrible year."
As suggested by Camilla Tominey, the recent events are all "shaping up" and becoming the queen's possible horrible year. Aside from dealing with the politics of Brexit, she has Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's debacle to manage.
It was also noted that the palace has probably a prior knowledge of the ITV documentary interview. But, in terms of its nature and contents, Queen Elizabeth II surely would not know. So, it certainly became a shocking moment for her upon witnessing the Sussex couple's interview.
Screen Rant also released a scoop about the queen's possible thoughts about the issue. As per the publication's sources, the matriarch of the family is possibly upset and disappointed. This is because she was reported to remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's photo on one of her tables after the interview.
While no confirmation has been made, many royal fans and supporters are convinced that the queen is truly upset. Even so, there are still some who believe that no one really knows what Queen Elizabeth II is thinking about. Hence, unless she shares her thoughts, it can be quite difficult to assume.
