According to the Chicago Tribune, the former First Lady talked about Jackson Park and why it fits to become the center's future home. She also shared her "emotional attachment" to the south side of Chicago.
Based on statements, this is where Michelle Obama worked, raised her kids, and bought their first home. So, it is only logical why the community fits the standards.
Aside from her personal links to the area, Michelle also shared that choosing Jackson Park was not only the vision of the Obama Presidential Center. Rather, the vision is about the south side of Chicago. Its "neighborhood and community," the former First Lady added.
The public was seemingly impressed with Michelle's visions. Alongside the fans and supporters, her husband, former President Barack Obama was also moved with his wife's statements.
On Twitter, the former politician praised Michelle stating that no one could have said it "better than Michelle Obama." He also emphasized that coming to the south side of Chicago is not for them or the center, rather, it is for the community as well as the "next generation" of leaders.
While the couple is seemingly great and well, rumors of divorce have become more apparent in recent times. As per tabloids and magazines, Barack's praises toward Michelle were surprising given that they are in the middle of a hefty divorce.
According to reports, Barack and Michelle Obama are getting a $150 million divorce. Sources were adamant that the couple can no longer sustain each other's ways and lifestyle.
