Kate Middleton had a talk with the BBC director general Tony Hall, sparking rumors that she could be working on a secret TV project. As it was earlier announced that Prince Harry would have documentary series of his own, royal fans felt like the Duchess of Cambridge was trying to imitate the move of Meghan Markle's husband.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey would be working on a documentary series about mental health on Apple TV+. As his wife, Meghan Markle, is friends with the 65-year-old media executive, there were talks that she might have played a significant role in this project.

Hence, when news emerged that Kate Middleton met Hall, it already gave birth to a lot of rumors. Prince William's wife had a private talk with the BBC boss. According to Expressthe meeting took place at Broadcasting House, the network's London headquarters.

Kate Middleton's spokesperson refused to give details about the meeting, saying it was not appropriate to disclose the content of it. Kensington Palace, on the other hand, revealed that the conference had something to do with her role as a patron of the Royal Foundation. Hence, there are assumptions her involvement with the network is likely to be for charity.

Anyhow, royal fans still think Kate Middleton will have her own show, trying to copy Prince Harry's move. "First they criticize, then they copy. Same old copy and paste with those clowns," one follower wrote on Twitter.

Another one said that it was an un-royal thing to do for a future queen, adding that the mother-of-three was a hypocrite. A different netizen contended that Kate Middleton's possible show might air at the same time as Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey's, claiming the Cambdriges knew a lot about the Sussexes' "comings and goings." It also added that they might be spying on the royal couple.

Of course, there were also some who came to Kate Middleton's defense. An online user suggested that her new show, if there would be, might focus on a different issue, unlike Prince Harry's mental health topic. Mandy Thrall even questioned why there was always a competition. After all, Kate had been standing for her beliefs for years.

Prince Harry reportedly agreed to co-present a series of documentaries about mental health on Apple TV+. It was expected for release next year. To recall, Meghan Markle's husband receives applause for tackling the stigma surrounding the issue when he spoke about his own mental health struggles, including his experience after the death of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.
