Queen Elizabeth reportedly drives to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's home regularly. Her Majesty sees her grandchildren as often as possible to help them cope with the pressures of royal life under media scrutiny.

Sources told Daily Express that Queen Elizabeth can conveniently drop in on Meghan and Prince Harry's home since she lives nearby in Windsor Castle. While she might have disagreed with how the Sussex royals are dealing with the pressures from the British tabloid media, she is often at their home to offer her support and to keep the royal family together.

This revelation comes after the palace confirmed Prince Harry, Meghan and their son, Archie Harrison, will be skipping Christmas celebrations with the royal family this year. The official statement indicated that their decision to spend the holidays in the United States, with Meghan's mother Doria Ragland, has the Queen's blessing.

Royal experts, however, believe that Queen Elizabeth is hurt by Prince Harry and Meghan's decision to turn down her invitation for Christmas in Sandringham. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward thinks that it's sad to think the Sussex family won't be with the royals for Christmas this year when "Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are in their dotage." Seward added that Her Majesty might be too gracious to let her grandchildren know of her disappointment.

This was not the first time Prince Harry and Meghan declined the Queen's invitation to celebrate her traditions. Last summer, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also did not spend the summer in Balmoral, the Queen's summer home in Scotland. According to reports, Archie was too young to travel but then they took him to France and Spain, nonetheless.

Dickie Arbiter, a former press secretary for Queen Elizabeth, said that it's not surprising for Prince Harry and Meghan to skip the Sandringham Christmas holiday. Prince William and Kate Middleton also did this in 2012 and then again in 2016 to spend the joyous event with the Middleton family.

However, Arbiter said that Queen Elizabeth was being pragmatic to allow her grandchildren to "get on with it." The former press secretary advised Prince Harry to make a decision on what he wants to do as a royal.

There have been speculations the Duke of Sussex might renounce his title so that he and his wife can live a more peaceful existence. Arbiter also said that Prince Harry needs to sort stuff out with his brother Prince William if the rift rumors are true.
