Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been very busy these past few months. The two didn't take a summer break or even maternity leave and continuously work nonstop to the point that palace aides urged them to "slow down." Their choice not to take a rest sparks concern among the people close to them that they are begged to take a break.

The Sussexes, indeed, have a hectic year. Aside from performing different royal engagements, they also welcome their firstborn this year and tour South Africa. As they never take a rest, it grows concern amongst people who are close to them. An insider told the Sunday Telegraph that they were asked to "slow down" for months as they didn't take either "maternity leave or summer break."

Prince Harry was about to make his last public appearance before their much-talked-about six-week break. He went solo to the first-ever OnSide Awards at the Royal Albert Hall to honor young people who were making a difference in the world, including Greta Thunberg.

After this event, it will take a little while before fans see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle again in public. "The Duke and Duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time," another source told the Sunday Times.

The two are about to fly to the United States to spend Thanksgiving with Meghan Markle's mother, Doria Ragland. According to Express, the former actress also wants to introduce American heritage to her six-month-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

They will reportedly return to the United Kingdom and spend Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, but there are reports they may stay away. They may stay at home and celebrate alone in Windsor or go to a different country to be with Meghan Markle's mom again.

Allegedly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry already informed Queen Elizabeth II that they would not join her for the festive period. Royal biographer Ingrid Seward revealed that it's quite sad that they didn't want to be part of the royal family gathering, especially now that Her Majesty and husband, Prince Philip, are in their old age. He even believed that the Queen might be a little hurt with their decision, but she just never showed.

But, despite the rumors, in an interview with BBC Radio 4's Today in 2017, Prince Harry revealed that Meghan Markle's first Christmas with the royal family was "fantastic." The former Suits star enjoyed it and his family loved having her around.
