It is unfortunate that fans will have to wait until mid-December before they find out what will happen to Agent Dwayne Pride's team. This week's NCIS: New Orlean Season 6 Episode 9 ended in a huge cliffhanger wherein the lives of Pride's team members are on a grave danger.

Unfortunately, NCIS: New Orleans Season 6 is not taking a midseason break yet. The series will just have a brief hiatus, but it will return on December 17 for the continuation of the events in Episode 9.

In the previous episode, Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) is not giving up until they avenge the death of Agent Christopher Lasalle (Lucas Black). However, they are having a time finding solid evidence that will prove Eddie Barrett (Eddie Cahill) is responsible for Lasalle's death. Instead, Pride decided to catch Barrett in his other illegal activities, such as drugs.

When Sebastian (Rob Kerkovich) created a simulation of the events leading to Lasalle's death, it showed that the late NCIS agent took the bullet that was intended for Sue-Ann. The team used this information to convince Sue-Ann that her boss tried to kill her, and she could have been dead if not for Lasalle. Sue-Ann also remembered that it was Barrett who fired the bullet that almost killed her.

Now that Pride has a witness that will convict Barrett for the killing of Lasalle. Sue-Ann also revealed where Barrett could be hiding. Before they served the arrest warrant on Barrett, Pride assured his team that he would never lose any of his team today.

However, the death of another agent could not be discounted easily considering the position of the team towards the end of the episode. The episode ended with Pride, Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito), Hannah (Necar Zadegan), and Sebastian, surrounded by heavily-armed people of Eddie.

They are literally in a sitting duck situation. It looks like there is no getting out of this one, and they could be killed helplessly by Barrett's people.

NCIS: New Orleans has yet to release an official synopsis or teaser for Episode 10. However, viewers of the NCIS franchise have known by now that NCIS team leaders such as Pride, as well as Agent Gibbs (NCIS) and Hetty (NCIS: Los Angeles), wouldn't go in a dangerous mission without any backup in place.

NCIS: New Orleans Season 6 airs every Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS. Episode 10, titled "Requital," will be the last one for NOLA this year.

When it returns next year, NCIS: New Orleans will be taking a new timeslot. Starting in February 2020, NCIS: NOLA will air every Sundays at 10 p.m. ET, just right after NCIS: Los Angeles.
