It's almost time for another episode of The Mandalorian, but people are still talking about Chapter Three: The Sin where an epic battle between bounty hunters and Mando's clansmen took place. Not surprisingly, fans couldn't help but discuss the unexpected action sequence as the other Mandalorians suddenly came to Mando's aid as he rescued Baby Yoda from The Client. But why did the Mandalorians join the fight in the first place? A Star Wars theory suggests that the Mandalorians are fighting back against the Galactic Empire that almost eradicated their people in the past.

In The Sin, Mando was given a camtono filled with Beskar steel, which he immediately brought to the Armorer to be made into a new armor. The beskar steel immediately had the other Mandalorians sneering at Mando since it was all stamped with the Imperial crest. This indicated that that steel was previously stolen from Mandalorians when the Galactic Empire attacked their planet in what is referred to as the Great Purge. During these incidents, several Mandalorians were killed as the Empire stole their steel for its own.

At first, it seemed like the other Mandalorians despised Mando for taking payment that was tainted with their people's blood. However, things changed when Mando decided to go back to the bunker and rescue Baby Yoda. The Mandalorians suddenly swooped in to help Mando escape as all of the bounty hunters on the planet were out for his blood. It was an unexpected gesture that the Mandalorians only explained by repeating the phrase, "This is the way."

So what is the way? Some believe that the Mandalorians decided to help Mando because he was rebelling against the remnants of the Galactic Empire by taking away the one thing that they seem to need truly. It is still unclear what the Client was planning to do with Baby Yoda, but at this point, the Mandalorians don't seem to care as they only want to take revenge for the Great Purge. Hopefully, the true purpose of their actions will be explained further in the upcoming episodes of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is the first Star Wars series to air on Disney+ and each episode is released on a weekly basis. The fourth episode is simply titled Chapter Four and will be directed by Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom star Bryce Dallas Howard. The next episode will premiere on Disney+ on November 29.
