Add another two awards to cap off BTS Jimin's winning year. The BTS member picked up "The Face of Kpop 2019" recognition from the latest King Choice Poll and also received the award for "All around idol who is good at everything."
According to a report by All Kpop, Jimin received the most number of votes from King Choice, one of the biggest Kpop voting sites in the world, when it opened the poll for "The Face of Kpop 2019."
The award is typically given to the idol who embodies all the qualities that represent the Kpop industry. From visuals to skills to marketability, Jimin stood out over the competition to bag the top prize.
Based on the survey, Jimin was the top choice among the contenders because he made fans interested in Kpop. Even those who were unfamiliar with BTS and its music were encouraged to search for Jimin's credentials after seeing his performances. The keywords such as "the guy with the red suit", "the pink hair", "the purple hair", "fan dance" became trending topics worldwide because fans can't get enough of the BTS member.
This was not the first time Jimin received an award from King Choice. The BTS member also picked up "The King of Kpop 2019" prize from the site in August.
As if the accolade was not enough, another major Kpop polling site, Idol Chart, gave Jimin fresh recognition as "All All around idol who is good at everything."
The award was given to the BTS member who received an overwhelming number of votes from fans who called attention to his good academic background, dancing, singing, modeling, and photography skills. Jimin stans also acknowledged his global appeal when he was mentioned by Good Will Hunting director Gus Van Sant as his ideal collaborator for an art project.
Jimin's influence in the fashion industry was also not lost on experts. The BTS member was the only male Kpop idol who made it to this year's list of Business of Fashion 500.
BoF 500 is recognized as the definitive professional index of the people influencing the $2.4 trillion fashion industry. The artists included in the list were selected by BoF editors who screened hundreds of nominations from fashion experts, reported Koreaboo.
Jimin was credited for his strong fashion style and bold style choices. His influence on the fans also made him a formidable force in setting trends, according to the magazine's editors.
