The public has seen Prince William and Prince Harry grow up together. But just like any other siblings, they do have some ups and downs.
During an interview for the ITV documentary Harry and Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke of Sussex seemingly confirmed all the speculations that he and Prince William may be feuding. But to remind everyone of their close relationship before, a 2018 biography, “Harry: Conversations with the Prince” suddenly unearthed.
In her biography, Angelina Levin revealed the “brother-bonding” of Prince William and Prince Harry. The princes decided to share a cottage together when they took part in the RAF training in Shrewsbury in 2009. During an interview, they showed their “comedy duo act” as they shared their experiences at the time.
“It’s for the first time and the last time I can assure you of that,” Prince Harry said. Angelina Levin then explained that “William, who Kate devotedly cooked for and even ran his bath, insisted he did all the cooking and had to tidy up after his messy brother.”
Prince William and Prince Harry are known for their very relatable brotherly bickering. “[Harry] does do the washing up but then he leaves it in the sink,” the Duke of Cambridge said. “Oh, the lies, the lies,” the younger prince responded.
Prince William wanted to win the discussion by revealing that he couldn’t sleep well because of his brother’s snoring. Prince Harry then said, “They’re going to think we’re sharing a bed now!”
The interview was like a breath of fresh air, especially for those who have been following Prince William and Prince Harry’s journey. The brothers don’t have many interactions anymore, which needs a lot of getting used to.
When Prince William got married to Kate Middleton in 2011, the brothers maintained their close bond. They were so close that they were dubbed as “the royal trio.”
But, when Prince Harry tied the knot with Meghan Markle last year, many noticed that things began to change. The royal brothers were not as close anymore, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex abruptly moved out to Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage earlier this year.
Prince Harry then revealed in the ITV documentary that was released in October that he and Prince William have “good days” and “bad days.” But then he noted that he and his brother will always love and support each other, which gave royal fans hope that their relationship will be restored soon.
