Now, to avoid even more bashing, Queen Elizabeth may be taking control of some aspects of his grandson Prince Harry’s life. The Duke of Sussex's decisions this year have not been very royal-like, and it seems like Her Majesty is doing her best to fix things up.
One of the things that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were heavily criticized for was their decision to take a private flight to the home of singer Sir Elton John. Reports revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex flew privately four times in 11 days in August.
The public didn’t take this decision well since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spoken out about climate change issues, which is a complete opposite of what they did. To save her grandson and his wife from more criticisms, Queen Elizabeth has now decided to take matters into her own hands.
Her Majesty is looking for a new director of travel, who is someone to make sure that travel is “efficient” and “cost-effective.” One of the most important things that the role will do is “researching and negotiating value for money contracts and options for travel.”
Meanwhile, one of the reasons why some royal fans are not too pleased with Meghan Markle as Prince Harry’s wife is because they believe that they have a different purpose. Critics see the Duchess of Sussex as a self-centered woman who craves the spotlight, given her background as a former actress. While she is supposed to be a supporter of Prince Harry, many believe that she is trying to outshine him.
A lot of royal fans then shared their thoughts, and most of them believe that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not find that happiness. “Harry was looking for love. Meghan was looking for money. Their backgrounds and expectations are too different,” a fan wrote on Quora. “MM craves glitz and glamor while Harry knows better. Harry was on an upward trajectory (serving in the military and committing to his mother’s humanitarian principles) when he was thrown a curveball.”
Not only were fans unhappy with Prince Harry’s choice for his wife, but a lot of them noticed that the Duke of Sussex regressed after the marriage.
