Queen Elizabeth is 93 years old as of this writing, and previous reports claimed that she will be stepping down at the age of 95. If that is indeed true, then Her Majesty will only have two more years left in leading the monarchy.
However, royal expert Neil Sean is insisting that Queen Elizabeth is not retiring anytime soon. He said that Her Majesty had always been determined to be the monarch for as long as she can, without putting a margin as to when she will stop doing so.
“There is one thing I truly believe about her majesty the Queen, she is a very loyal Queen as it were,” he said. “She did say if you remember all of those years ago, no matter how long or short her life will be she truly believes in the fact that this is her duty. Whatever we think about other members of the British Royal Family the Queen really has been an incredible monarch.”
Neil Sean did consider Queen Elizabeth’s age but he is still convinced that it’s not going to be the reason for her to step down. In fact, he believes that Her Majesty would pass some of her duties to the other royals as she continues to reign the monarchy.
“I just don’t see it happening,” the royal expert continued. “The thing I do see happening is that the Queen will take steps further and further backwards. We will see lots of charities taken on by Kate and Meghan and people like that.”
Neil Sean also added that "last week alone she was incredibly busy. I stand there in awe thinking wow this woman is knocking on but she is still doing it. So she is kind of great inspiration as well, long may she reign.”
Previous reports also revealed that the younger royals will be handling more duties after Prince Andrew’s withdrawal. The Duke of York decided to step down from royal duties following his scandalous interview on BBC Newsnight.
Prince Andrew’s name was mentioned by one of the victims of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and he is now being investigated for his alleged involvement. To save the royal family from more embarrassment, the Duke of York eventually stepped down from his royal life.
With that said, the younger royals will be segregating all the royal obligations of Prince Andrew. It is quite clear that the “Royal Fab Four,” which consists of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, has a very busy year ahead.
