Fans are speculating that there will be a potential collaboration between TWICE members Momo and Jihyo and SM Entertainment artists after the pair were spotted leaving the SM Entertainment building recently.
According to a report by All Kpop, rumors quickly spread on social media TWICE's Jihyo and Momo were seen by fans on their way out of the SM Entertainment building. Based on the fans' account, they were waiting for EXO to arrive, but they got a big surprise when they saw the TWICE members.
One of the fans even confirmed that they saw the TWICE members filming and speculated that they were doing a collab with SM artists. TWICE is signed under JYP Entertainment.
A collaboration between JYP and SM Entertainment artists is not a farfetched idea because the agencies are known to be in good terms despite the rivalry. Artists from both labels are also known to be friends with one another.
The upcoming single White Winter by Knowing Bros' Space Shorty Kim Heechul and Lee Soogeun will feature a cameo by JYP's rookie girl group ITZY in the MV. It can be recalled that Momo also appeared in the MV for Kim Heechul and Min Kyunghoon's hit duet Sweet Dream in 2016.
TWICE fans expressed excitement over the news of potential collaboration and said they are hoping that Jihyo and Momo will be featured in Taemin's single for the 'Station' x '4 LOVEs for Winter'. The special SMTown project has announced three songs so far, including SM Town's This is Your Day, a song dedicated to every child by UNICEF; and NCT U's Coming Home.
Some ONCEs speculated that TWICE members might be collaborating with Red Velvet's year-end shows.
TWICE is taking a brief break from their successful TWICELIGHTs in Japan tour to focus on year-end shows in Korea.
After concluding their sold-out performances in Hokkaido, Chiba, Osaka, Miyagi, and Aichi, TWICE is expected to return to Japan in February to continue the tour.
TWICE's remaining shows include back to back shows in Fukuoka's Marine Messe Stadium on February 11 and 12 as well as a two-night tour in Shizuoka Ecopa Arena on Feb. 22 and 23. Due to public demand, JYP Entertainment added two shows at the Japan Dome in Tokyo to cap off the successful TWICELIGHTs tour on March 3 and 4.
