A successful college dropout was featured in "The Boss" series after he was recognized as one of the business leaders who made it big in the Hong Kong toy industry.

A report indicated that he had been trying to build his business thumbprint in China and experienced a lucky break. It was revealed that the toy industry mogul's business firm, Zuru, currently expects annual sales of about $460 million in 2019 alone.

According to BBC News, the latest episode of the hit television show "The Boss" featured toy industry mogul Nick Mowbray, a New Zealand national who built his business in Hong Kong from the ground up. Mowbray was labeled as the co-chief executive and co-founder of toymaker Zuru, the company that caught the attention of the US retail giant Walmart.

It was revealed that a Walmart representative is set to visit Zuru's showroom in Hong Kong after Mowbray phoned Walmart several times to be one of Zuru's clients. After several attempts, it was shown that Mowbray's journey to success was captured in the series.

The report claimed that "The Boss" showcased the formative years of Zuru and how Mowbray and his colleagues developed and pitched their toy products to several retailers while surviving a subsistence living in Hong Kong. It was highlighted in the episode that Mowbray's journey was inspiring since he started as a college dropout and despite such, he is currently a billionaire and one of the most recognized business owners in China's toy industry.

At present, the report indicated that Mowbray's family who currently lives in Auckland is one of New Zealand's richest who earns about $3 billion New Zealand dollars in profits, reported National Business Review.

During an interview segment on the show, Mowbray revealed that he had to depart from Hong Kong and came home to New Zealand due to medical reasons. He revealed that he had suffered from Crohn's disease, an inflammatory bowel disease. During the year 2018, Mowbray said that he underwent three surgeries to remove his large intestine.

The report also indicated that Mowbray had been suffering the condition for nearly a decade. He claimed that he had lost around 20 kilograms in a short amount of time and believed that the illness worsened due to the stresses he experienced while building Zuru.

According to Zuru's official website, Zuru is an award-winning company that designs, creates, and markets innovative toys and consumer products mostly in Asia. The company also claimed that they are one of the fastest-growing toy companies in the world and whose headquarters is currently located in Hong Kong.
