Jin is the oldest member of BTS, but it doesn’t seem that way most of the time. His bubbly and playful personality gave him the title “fake maknae” (fake youngest) of the group.
But we all know that it’s impossible for someone to be all silly and happy 24/7. So the only people who know the real Jin are RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, who have been with him on and off cam for years.
So what do the BTS members truly think about Jin? As it turns out, their revelations will make ARMYs fall in love with Mr. Worldwide Handsome even more.
"He may seem like the jokester but he takes on his role of the being the oldest very well,” RM said. The BTS leader also added that even though Jin is not that confident with his dancing skills, he “respect his efforts to continue to improve and do his best.”
Suga shared that Jin doesn’t like it when things become awkward, so he would bring up “the energy and the vibe in these types of situations.” J-Hope then revealed that Jin is not really bothered by age. “He could have had some sort of pride in being the oldest, but instead he seems more like a friend. He plays an important role in keeping our group together,” he said.
As for the maknae line Jimin, V, and Jungkook, they are definitely looking up to Jin. The BTS boys love their big brother so much that they have nothing but good things to say about him.
“He really seems like a kid most of the time. But in terms of our work, he will work hard to make things perfect. Even though he may seem like he’s joking around, he really does take it upon himself to work hard so that he doesn’t become a burden to the team,” Jimin said.
V admitted that out of all the members, he likes Jin the most. He said that he’s not only handsome, but he’s also a hard worker. “It may not seem like it upfront, but he is always working hard behind the scenes. I heard that he is the one that stays up all night practicing alone in his hotel room,” he revealed.
Lastly, Jungkook shared what the other boys already mentioned, which is Jin being a hardworking member. “We never really see him practicing when we are around. But he always shows us how hard he has worked through the final product. We were able to see his efforts shine at this concert because his singing improved so much. I think he improved the most out of all of us,” he shared.
The pattern of RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook appreciating Jin’s hard work makes a lot of sense. Before becoming a member of BTS, Jin had no background in singing and dancing. He was scouted mainly because of his good looks. The complete performer that we see today is all because of Jin’s hard work and perseverance.
