George Clooney is now busy working on his first Netflix project, Good Morning, Midnight. As it looks like the 58-year-old actor is too contained of his schedule, there are rumors he is starting to "barking orders and ruffling feathers." He is also reportedly turning into a "real-life Grinch," who is like a "nightmare to be around." Is there any truth about this?
A tabloid used George Clooney's busy schedule to make him look like a monster. The award-winning actor used to be the epitome of calmness and being laidback, but an alleged source claimed that there's a "real edge to him lately." Hence, people try to get out of his way like a plague.
Allegedly, the pressure of pulling off his new movie together is taking its toll on himself. He is feeling the stress of assembling his cast, turning him into a "nasty customer to deal with," and things are getting worse when the filming starts. Everyone wishes his wife, Amal Clooney, will calm him down, but she also finds it frustrating dealing with his foul moods.
Gossip Cop debunked this story, saying there is nothing true about it. Indeed, George Clooney is directing and co-starring the movie Good Morning, Midnight. However, other details about the report are all false. His spokesperson even refutes the validity of the story, confirming the film "has been cast for months."
In fact, the movie is almost halfway through its production as it arleady started in October. The filming is ahead of its schedule, so everyone is having a blast on set.
Good Morning, Midnight will feature Felicity Jones, Kyle Chandler, and David Oyelowo. According to Variety, Mark L Smith will adapt its screenplay from the sci-fi thriller book written by Lily Brooks-Dalton with the same title. The Chicago Review of Books named the novel as one of the best books of 2017.
The film will follow the parallel stories of Augustine, played by George Clooney, a lonely scientist in the Arctic, and an astronaut onboard the Aether spacecraft. Augustine is trying to return home to earth while he is racing to make contact with the spaceship.
"Grant and I couldn't be more excited to be involved with this incredible project," George Clooney said about the movie. "Mark is a writer we've long admired, and his script is haunting. We're thrilled to be working with our friends at Netflix as well."
Good Morning, Midnight is George Clooney's first feature film and first project with Netflix. However, he is not new to working on streaming services. He already executive produced, appeared, and directed a few episodes of Catch-22 on Hulu.
