President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were slammed for not including their only son, Barron, in the Christmas Eve celebration at the president's Mar-a-Lago resort. Many commented on Twitter that the First Couple should have spent the time with Barron instead of hosting a party.

Barron Trump traveled with his parents to Palm Beach in Florida on December 20 to celebrate Christmas with them. However, the presidential son wasn't seen in public since then.

POTUS hosted dinner at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Christmas Eve. It was attended by FLOTUS and some dignitaries but Barron is nowhere to be seen.

Netizens asked POTUS and FLOTUS on Twitter where their only child was. Others also slammed the couple for not bringing Barron in the festivities. Some commented the 13-year-teen stayed at home and being watched by Secret Service.

"Ok, where's Barron? Poor child at the White House on Christmas Eve with some aide watching him?" one tweeted.

It is unclear why Barron wasn't in the Christmas Eve dinner. It could be because the dinner is considered a formal event and he is still considered as a kid.

Netizens' comments came after President Trump brought up Barron to mock his Democratic presidential rivals during his rally in Michigan. At the rally in Battle Creek, Trump mocked reports that indicated presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren attracted large crowd sizes. POTUS told the crowd that his son Barron would draw bigger crowds than Warren.

POTUS's move to mock his rival sparked new controversy since Melania lambasted an impeachment witness for bringing up their son on Trump's impeachment hearing. In her tweet, Melania slammed Stanford Law School professor Pamela Karlan for mentioning Barron during the hearing.

After President Trump brought up Barron during his rally and not bringing his son on Christmas party, netizens retweeted Melania's original response to Karlan to point out the President's actions.

Meanwhile, Barron Trump isn't the only member of the First Family who seemed to get snub on Christmas Eve. According to Express, even FLOTUS appeared to be sidelined when she attended the dinner. Footages from the event show FLOTUS looking around the room while her husband is engaged in conversation.

During dinner, President Trump was seen speaking with Alan Dershowitz. There have been reports that the famous lawyer would be joining the president's impeachment team.

Dershowitz has been an outspoken defender of Trump during the investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller on the alleged meddling of Russia in the 2016 elections. He also supported the president during the recent impeachment proceedings at the House of Representatives.
