Gwen Stefani and long-time boyfriend Blake Shelton celebrated Christmas Eve by hearing mass together with her children. Witnesses said that they look like such a sweet and perfect Catholic family together, sparking speculations that wedding bells may finally ring for this couple.
According to Radar Online, Gwen and Blake's religious differences was the one hitch to their wedding plans. Now that Blake has been going to church more and more, at the influence of Gwen, are they finally ready for the next commitment?
Gwen and Blake attended the children's Christmas Eve mass at the St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Los Angeles. The couple reportedly held hands during the service, as well as hugged and kissed each other, with Gwen's three boys around, during the peace offering.
The popular singers also apparently sang along when the Christmas carols played. Blake also gave money to one of the boys to put in the offering basket.
Gwen respects her Catholic traditions faithfully but Blake was hardly the faithful follower when he met her. However, sources told People that Blake is "very serious" about the love of his life that he's been thinking about proposing to her and giving her the Catholic wedding she wants.
Meanwhile, Life & Style published in their printed edition that Gwen and Blake had their secret wedding in April. Apparently, there were 200 guests to this affair, which was held at Blake's Oklahoma ranch.
The report further stated that Gwen announced during the ceremony that she's expecting her fourth baby and first child with Blake. Later on, she allegedly told the guests that she and her new husband were going to have a baby girl.
Gossip Cop, however, debunked this report. A spokesperson for the couple reportedly clarified that there was never a wedding in Oklahoma simply because Gwen and Blake are not yet engaged. Gwen is also not with child and hasn't announced her pregnancy seven months after the report came out.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly reported that Gwen started the formal process of her church annulment from first husband Gavin Rossdale. The singer is keen on going through this process because she apparently wants her wedding to Blake to be recognized by the Catholic Church.
Church annulment is a long process but Gwen and Blake are said to be willing to wait. In the middle of this, Blake continues to grow his relationship and faith. He said it makes more sense to him now why God brought him and Gwen together.
