The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been plagued with various allegations since they first started dating. But, it seemed like things have become more challenging for the couple, especially for the then-actress, when they officially tied the knot in 2018.

Since then, they have been facing intense scrutiny from both the media and the general public. But, what made things much more controversial for the Sussex couple was when they gave their "bombshell" interview with Tom Bradby for the documentary titled, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey a few months ago.

Based on claims made by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, it appears that they have been struggling with their lives as parents to Archie Harrison and as royals, in general. It was also witnessed by the viewers how the duchess went "teary-eyed" after the interviewer asked her if she is "okay."

The former Hollywood actress then explained that it has been truly "damaging" for her. As for the duke, he seemingly confirmed that there is an ongoing rift between him and his brother, Prince William.

With these statements, the Sussex couple has been slammed and criticized for embarrassing the monarchy. While their avid fans have continued to support them throughout their "tough" times, the backlash never stopped, even today, in the middle of their six-week break from royal duties.

Several royal experts and commentators have been concluding that their break was a way for the Sussex couple to alleviate the situation. However, the objections did not stop. This is one of the many reasons why analysts and critics today are certain that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will continue to face more "hardships" and struggles in 2020.

According to News Break, Omid Scobie shared in his recent interview that the duke and duchess will be put into a much more challenging position when the new year comes. Aside from the complications and objections that have been apparent since then, the couple's fight against the press will continue to develop because of the "lawsuit" they filed earlier this year.

Correspondingly, it will be a very tough year for the royal couple once they return to the United Kingdom in the next few days or weeks.

On the other hand, Express UK claimed that despite all the hardships and challenges, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to focus on their foundation in 2020. There were even speculations recently that they will launch a "U.S." foundation Sussex Royal soon.
