Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were said to spend Christmas Day in Canada. It was reported recently that the family of three flew from the United States to the duchess' previous home, along with Doria Ragland.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have the Queen's blessing over their six-week break from royal duties, including their holiday celebration away from the United Kingdom, sources were attesting that they are now being asked to return. As reported, some members of the royal family were "urging" the couple to spend their last few days of the year in Sandringham.

According to The Sun, several sources revealed that this urgent request made toward Meghan Markle and Prince Harry came after Prince Philip's hospitalization. Accordingly, it is only fitting if they would return to spend time with the duke.

However, this did not happen as the couple was said to refuse the request. Instead, they flew to Canada and spent their Christmas Day in the duchess' turf during her days as an actress in the series, Suits.

The same sources claimed that this move made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was "selfish" and "inconsiderate." The reason being is that they did not give Archie Harrison the chance to spend his first Christmas with his grandparents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.

It was also noted that the senior royals' "advancing ages" was not largely regarded, which makes the situation much more "unpleasant" in the eyes of the royal fans and supporters.

In a similar report made by Daily Mail, royal expert, Phil Dampier stated that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not likely to "change their plans" even if they are truly "urged" by some members of the royal family. Also, considering that Prince Philip has been now revealed to be back at Sandringham, the Sussex family is not expected to change their itinerary at the last minute.

He further explained that when Queen Elizabeth II gave her blessing to the Sussex couple over their holiday plans, it was already "understood." So, it is much more likely that the monarch is just wishing for the duke and duchess to "clear heads" and "recharge batteries" for a much more challenging year ahead of the monarchy.

In the end, however, no one knows for sure if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are truly "urged" to come back home by some other royals in the United Kingdom. No official confirmations and statements were shared after the headlines circulated.
